You've probably seen enough corporate-product blogs to know what they are about so this won't be a lengthy explanation or overview.

Simply, we want to take the opportunity to introduce you to the team who regularly contributes to this blog. We are the folks providing updates about Sixent's development, and reporting back to you on the feedback we receive from Sixent members like yourself.

And we really do want to hear back from you! It's your feedback that will help to make Sixent a great place to network and share your life online.

So without further ado, here's a bit of background information on us Sixent Blog contributors:

Phil Dame - COO of Ramius Corporation (the company behind Sixent) and one of the principal architects of the platform. Phil works with his team to define the high level philosophy, structure, visual design and goals for what we want to accomplish with this service.

Patrick Lajeunesse - Director of Technical Implementations. Patrick's used to spanning the technical, design, and business side of product development, and uses that perspective to help drive the user experience.

Steve Thompson - Director of Professional Services at Ramius responsible for leading numerous engagements for enterprise clients. He is heavily involved in researching how online communities can be used to address business problems and engage stakeholders, for example with effective use of Partner Networks, Customer Networks and Research Networks.

Simon Chen - Senior Consultant and community evangelist extraordinaire. A spokesperson for Ramius and active contributor to the social computing community, Simon is interested in how social technologies can help people connect and communicate to work, learn and innovate.

Melany Gallant - Director of Marketing and the author of this post. I'm interested in facilitating discussions between Sixent members and the team that develops, supports and delivers it.

By the way, we're located in Ottawa, Canada and have been building web applications since 1998 (that's like a century in Internet time).
